I have been working with Laura for several years now. When I first started, I had constant aches and pains, especially in my knees. I found simple tasks like, climbing stairs, bending over, and getting up off the floor, both painful and difficult. So far, I’ve lost 27 lbs and have kept it off, I don’t find simple tasks difficult and painful anymore, and on top of that I am doing things like, running, which I never thought possible at 66 years old.

Before I started training with Laura, I was gaining weight, frustrated with yo-yo dieting, lacked energy, and the constant pain in my shoulders was debilitating. I had 3 major falls over several months, which left me struggling with simple daily activities such as lifting plates out of the cupboard and getting a shirt over my head.
Laura was very supportive, patient, and listened to my concerns. She created a program that was specific to me. She helped me break bad habits, and a bad relationship with food. She was very knowledgeable and educated me on nutrition, and helped me build a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
Since training with Laura, I have lost 27 lbs. I no longer have pain in my shoulders. I can lift my grandbabies overhead, and get up and down off the floor to play with them. I have more energy to complete day to day activities, and my mood is a lot more positive. My balance has improved significantly. I can now do the full progression of Tree Pose easily!
Through my fitness journey I have gained confidence in training, and in my relationship with food. I am more relaxed at parties, family dinners and holidays. I have the knowledge and tools to navigate these experiences so I can enjoy them at the same time as working towards my lifestyle goals. I can have both now, it is no longer one or the other. Over a year ago I wouldn’t have imagined that I would accomplish all that I have, and I couldn’t have done it without Laura.

I cannot believe how strong I have become in such a little amount of time. It’s motivating on its own to see how my increased strength has positively impacted my day to day functioning. I have been working hard with Laura as my coach since June 2020. I am a full time working mama of one. When I started with Laura I made it clear that time is precious, and I have been able to consistently complete three (sometimes four) workouts a week since starting my fitness journey.

In the middle of the pandemic I was looking for something more challenging with my workouts, as well as some accountability. I knew Laura was coaching online and I reached out because I’ve witnessed her transformation over the past couple years and I was just in awe with how much she’s accomplished. I spoke to Laura about the areas I wanted to work on and she created exactly what I wanted; challenging workouts that I could do at home while building strength in areas I had never put much effort into before. "I’ve learned which foods aid in recovery, reduce inflammation, and which provide me with performance power."
When I started this journey with Laura, my goals were simple, lose 15 lbs, improve my fitness level for the open, and reduce my risk of CVD and diabetes. What I wasn’t prepared for was the surprises along the way.
My sedentary work from home life in the basement wasn’t offset by my 3-4 days at CrossFit. Adding a simple walk every morning set my day off right. My age doesn’t define my fitness level. With good nutrition, mindful recovery and hard work, anything is within grasp. Deadlines and stress impacting my sleep and nutrition. I’ve learned various tools to help restless nights and not reach for comfort foods when I’m exhausted. A weight loss deficit doesn’t mean doing without because there will always be that birthday, holiday or celebration. So yes, I could enjoy and indulgence and still keep my goals in check. I’ve learned which foods aid in recovery, reduce inflammation, and which provide me with performance power.
The end result? 25lbs lost since last August, and surprising myself with an all RX Open performance. I can’t wait to see what this year brings. Thank you Laura - I’m so grateful for your support.
